Installing the ROG Phantom Blade Zero keycaps transforms the tactile and visual experience of a standard mechanical keyboard. The dye-sublimation process ensures that the intricate weapon and scene graphics remain sharp and resistant to wear over time. The side-lit design is particularly effective on keyboards with south-facing or north-facing RGB LEDs, as the light travels through the translucent sides rather than just the top legends, providing a more immersive glow that complements the dark, aggressive color scheme.
Compared to standard ABS keycaps, this PBT-based set offers superior resistance to shine and oil buildup, maintaining a matte texture even after extended gaming sessions. While many aftermarket sets focus solely on top-legend visibility, the Phantom Blade Zero edition prioritizes the ambient lighting experience, making it a distinct choice compared to traditional opaque or double-shot PBT sets that lack side-lighting capabilities.
